Right at Home-Kingwood is a locally owned and operated business providing in-home care for the elderly and disabled adults.  Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve.  We do this by providing compassionate and competent caregivers to assist you and your loved ones.

Our caregivers are carefully screened, trained, insured, bonded and supervised to ensure we provide our clients the highest quality care and service possible. Our goal is to help create a safe and secure atmosphere that focuses on maintaining the client's dignity and independence. This is done by providing assistance for a variety of life's daily activities including:

• Light housekeeping

• Errands, shopping and transportation
• Assistance with dressing/undressing
• Assistance with personal hygiene

Right at Home-Kingwood, is locally owned and operated by Jim Royal.  Prior to opening the Right at Home Kingwood office, Jim worked for over 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry.  Jim’s passion for taking care of people began early in life when he worked as a hospital orderly, assisting patients with daily care, as he put himself through college. 

Jim, his wife, Brenda, and their two children have been Kingwood residents since 1991.  In that time, they have been involved in various aspects of the Kingwood community.   In 2000, following his mother’s declining health and several hospitalizations, his mother moved to Kingwood to allow her to be close enough for the family to assist in her care.  It was during this period that Jim realized the community needed a service to assist seniors and disabled adults.  Jim made it his mission to establish a company that could provide reliable, exceptional care that allows families to have peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are being taken care of by competent and compassionate caregivers.  It is this mission of providing quality care to seniors that allows them to remain “Right at Home” that is the foundation for Right at Home-Kingwood.

Right at Home-Kingwood is a family mission.  Jim’s daughter, Kristin Royal, began working with Right at Home as the Staffing Coordinator and has recently been promoted to Office Manager.  Kristin volunteered for the community in high school and continued her desire to help people while working for a doctor’s office in Kingwood during college.  She received her BA in Communications and Marketing from University of Houston, and began working with Right at Home.

Right at Home Kingwood is also actively involved in various groups and associations throughout the community.  Jim is a member of the Humble Rotary, HPN (Health Professionals Network), and the Humble Chamber of Commerce.  He is also actively involved with his church, local groups that assist in repairing homes for the elderly, and a quarterly blood donor.
